What athletic programs does Keswick offer?

Keswick fields competitive middle school and high school teams across a wide range of sports including football, volleyball, basketball (boys and girls), soccer, baseball, softball, cross country, swimming, and track . The athletic program is led by Athletic Director Coach Karrmayne King, who has been inducted into the FHSAA Hall of Fame — the highest honor in Florida high school athletics. Keswick's athletic standing in the region is significant enough that the school hosts its own invitational tournaments, including the Keswick Invitational and the Suncoast Classic Basketball Tournament , drawing competing schools from across the area. Recent highlights include boys volleyball championships, boys varsity soccer district titles, girls basketball district championships, cross country and swim regional finals appearances, and football playoff runs. About 69% of students participate in more than one sport , and the athletic program consistently emphasizes character, Christlikeness, and life skills alongside competitive achievement.

What is the "three pillars" philosophy — academics, athletics, and fine arts?

About 69% of students participate in more than one sport , and many of those same students are also in choir, band, or the school musical. This is only possible because coaches, teachers, and administrators plan together to prevent scheduling conflicts. The result: a student can compete in volleyball, earn honors credit, and perform in the spring musical — all in the same school year. How strong are Keswick's academics?

Keswick offers a rigorous, college-preparatory curriculum including honors courses and Advanced Placement (AP) classes. Graduates regularly attend prestigious universities in Florida and across the country, including Ivy League institutions. Academic achievements appear regularly in the school's news — from students earning 100% pass rates in AP Capstone, to first-place finishes in the International Math League and regional Math Olympics, to students winning district-level Spelling Bees. The KCS Scholars program formally recognizes academic excellence, and a dedicated guidance counselor helps with transcripts and college placement.

How early can my child start at Keswick?

Keswick accepts children as young as infants — making it the only infant through 12th grade unaffiliated private Christian school in Pinellas County. Your child can grow up with the same teachers, coaches, and community from the very start of life through high school graduation. This long-term relationship between families and faculty is something you simply won't find at most other private schools in the area.

Does Keswick require families to belong to a specific church?

No. Keswick is nondenominational and not affiliated with any church. The only faith requirement is that at least one parent or guardian has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and that the family regularly attends a Bible-believing church of their choice. This openness means Keswick draws families from Baptist, Catholic, Presbyterian, Methodist, and dozens of other Christian traditions — creating a uniquely diverse yet unified Christian community.

What makes Keswick Christian School different from other private Christian schools in Tampa Bay?

Keswick is the only infant through 12th grade private Christian school in Pinellas County not affiliated with a specific church . That means families from over 100 different Tampa Bay-area churches attend together, united by faith in Jesus Christ rather than a single denomination. Rather than excelling in just one area, Keswick deliberately balances academics, athletics, and fine arts equally — coaches, teachers, and administrators actively coordinate schedules so students never have to choose between sports, the school musical, and their AP classes.
